I have this irrational fear of drifting through the atmosphere.

American astronauts have reported a feeling of asthenia after being on long missions in space. They feel a certain disconnectedness from the earth and the people they once knew there. They collectively feel a certain depression thinking about coming back to earth... about the difference they probably didn't make... about how no one will welcome them... about how no one has missed them. 

It only takes a few weeks of being that far away for someone to not really care to see their family again. 

Let me not drift away.
